GENERAL

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an extracurricular activity in which students typically portrait delegates and express their views while objectively being connected to their country policies in the United Nations and simulate UN committees.

KAIHLMUN is an annually organized MUN conference since 2016, by Kartal Anadolu Imam Hatip High School MUN team. KAIHLMUN’18 is ensuring glorified academic debate opportunities for a wide range of students -from advanced to newbies who are keen and willing- supported by a reliable organization for its attendees.

Delegates process concrete academic knowledge and by doing so, they form new opinions and create different perspectives which lead them to critical thinking. Attendees also learn to find practical and effective solutions to global problems by discussing the topics within the frame of committee agenda items and writing a resolution paper with other delegates. Also the opportunity to form a -healthy and reciprocal- communication will be given to the students. In the end, participants acquire invaluable skills such as negotiating, public speaking, self-confidence and in many cases improving their language skills as a result of their active participation in debates. All these, will prepare students for a better future.
